the series is finally complete.
On one hand, I'm really sad to see it go because I definitely enjoyed reading it week in and week out.
On the other hand ... there is a brand new weekly coming in the form of Countdown that features a whole slew of different creators. We can only hope the quality of this series matches that of 52.
All that said ... I was just a little bit disappointed with the ending of 52. I'm not really sure what else they could have done with it ... but for some reason I found it a little underwhelming.
**** SPOILERS ****
I do like how they created a new multiverse with new realities that are completely different from what existed prior. At the same time, I'd almost they rather not have created a new multiverse at all as I'm afraid at some point they might start blending them (just as before).
By adding the multiverses, it allows DC to attempt what Marvel has done with the Ultimate line. They can focus on a given reality and try to launch a *new* version of the DCU.
This also allows them to fold the All Star realities into the entirety of the DC multiverse (same goes for the Vertigo titles and the Wildstorm universe --- and in fact, the Wildstorm characters were prominently show in one of the realities).
All of it exists. All of it is *real*. They just exist in different planes of reality.
Hopefully they will avoid cross-overs between the realities (which is where the blending problem comes into play). If not, then it will seem as though the events of this latest Crisis were really all for naught. _________________ Bender: Hey chumps. I heard you were on the ass end of an ass-kickin'... |

I picked up only one issue from the series, #48(?). It had the Question on the cover, but was really Det. Montoya. Is the Question just a voice in her head? Is it real, or just her? _________________ Soylent Green is my kind of people |

She is the new Question.
Vic Sage is dead.
He died in the middle of the 52 run.
The evil wicked villainous 'cancer' got him.
I was bummed out about that because I've been a closet Vic Sage fan for a while. I never bought the regular Question series, but I did pick up a couple of issues here and there (one was an Annual featuring Lady Shiva I believe) and I picked up the recent mini-series by Rick Veitch and Tommy Lee Edwards. _________________ Bender: Hey chumps.
